Mindlessly surfing the web, I came across the following – a blog post and a couple of interesting websites.
An old blog post (June 2008) on “The Vulva Taxi”. A bicycle mod created by Finnish artist Mimosa Pale and was ridden on a Vancouver Car-Free Day. It is said that it has been created to “protest” a world that is too “man-parts-centric”.
And of course, being inside one of the blog posts, I went on to check the main site. What the hell is lunapads? There I found the answer – reusable menstrual products. Talk about recycling. Their tag line says “Eco positive periods”. Check out the site.
The other site is Alicia Silverstone’s companion site and blog to her book – The Kind Diet. The site was launched in October 2009, a day before the book was released. Would be a useful resource and support community for those intending to go the Vegan way. Interesting. (How I wound up checking out the site? It’s Alicia’s! Dimwit. I remember her in Clueless and one of the Batman movies. A sight to see.) Check out the site.
